Attending:  Gina, Troy, Barb, Seanne, Jerry, Corinne, Kitty

 

We started out by reviewing the Practice from last week.  This was our 'fill in the blanks' for our self assessment.

 

Barb said that all in all she was pretty optomistic with most of her answers.  In taking a look at it after the fact, she found some things she is motivated to improve.

 

Corinne found a pattern and analyzed it and compared it to her WANTs.  She could see where it fed into areas for growth and also areas where she is strong.

 

Jerry wants to learn to speak Spanish and found that one of his answers may be the thing that has been standing in the way of this WANT.

 

Kitty said that it was important to see the 'big picture' of the process.  That the purpose for asking ourselves the questions is to see how they might impact our original list of WANTs.

 

So, in the future when we are doing our Practice let's read it through and see the overall purpose before we begin.

 

We presented the Wheel of Life and had time to rate ourselves in each area.

 

It was discussed the the Relationship piece includes friends as well as family.  And that our current state of mind affects how we rank each area.  We discussed ranking ourselves on the Wheel once a week at different times of day and in different moods.  We'll take a look at our 'triggers' and see if we find patterns.  And, see if this gives us insight for any new WANTs or realizations that we might not be spending enough time in certain areas of our lives or that we are spending too much time in different areas.

 

We introduced Purpose and asked everyone to begin thinking about that.  On the flip side, it was suggested that we look for things that irritate us - because it probably goes against a core vlaue that we have.

 

Practice, is to define our ideal for each area of the Wheel of Life and start to consider our Purpose.
